    It is generally claimed that in the text of the Russian translation the proper names in most cases are not given in translation but in transliteration. It is not surprising, as experience shows that it is really practiced this way. And yet, there are quite a few proper names where this rule of thumb does not work. There are a number of expressions that are partly a kind of proper names and partially a sort of regular phrases.
